John Boik is a financial controller, market researcher, and former stockbroker. He graduated from
Michigan State University with a BA in Finance and has held various top financial management positions
over the years with both private and public companies. He lives with his family in Atlanta, Georgia.
To reduce his many years of mistakes in the market and educate others about how the stock market
really works, he began studying history extensively and the few highly successful participants of the
market that cover the past century. His three books to date lay out the stages of his study. First, he
profiled the most successful individuals who's published results exceeded all others. The discovery here
was that they all possessed similar traits and strategies that produced the best results. Second, he
chronicled the history of the market for each decade starting from the late 1890s. This study showed
how the best market operators read key market signals to stay on the profitable side (which many times
just means staying out of the market) of any market cycle. Third, he showed how stock performance
characteristics of the best price performers - those that the best market operators always seemed to
capitalize on - have remained the same over time.
His study and writings hope to help others avoid the many costly mistakes that most people encounter in
the stock market due to a lack of real-world knowledge and time-proven successful strategies.
